LANCE 'JACKO' JACKSON
Operations Manager - Commercial / Residential
Jacko started his building apprenticeship at age 15 and still loves working on the tools. But with two decades of experience under his belt, we’ve put in him in charge of managing our commercial and residential projects. He manages all of this division’s building programmes to make sure we deliver on time and to Sabre’s expected level of quality.
Jacko’s experience is diverse. His career began in the Waikato where he helped build architecturally-designed homes, Waikato Hospital and Gallagher Group’s headquarters before moving onto residential work in London including alterations to 300 year-old heritage listing buildings. On the tiny Pacific Island of Nauru, he built hospitals and schools before returning home to New Zealand.
Jacko loves the satisfaction of taking a bare piece of land and building someone’s dream home, or turning a run-down building into something special. He’s a real go-getter so he’ll pitch in wherever and whenever possible, on the tools if necessary, to get the job done. He is a true asset to our team and a great example of the skills and depth of experience Sabre has to offer.
